I am off to the library today to pick up several books I placed on hold. I want to find out as much as I can about Chinese traditions, cultures, and holidays. When we bring Avery home I want to include her heritage into our lives. I know she will be an American citizen and most importantly an important part of our family, but I don’t want to forget where she came from. I want her to feel connected to her heritage and I want her to know we are connected to her heritage as well. I posted a question to the yahoo APC e-mail boards and received several responses on good books and references for learning about customs and traditions. The book I am most excited about is called “Moonbeams, Dumplings & Dragon Boats: A Treasury of Chinese Holiday Tales, Activities & Recipes.” I also reserved several more books similar to this and also a book called “Attaching in Adoption: Practical Tools for Today's Parents” by Deborah D. Gray. If I like the books I am going to purchase them to add to my little library.

I want that book too! By the way I love the new bedding. The first one was cute but the one you finally got is gorgeous!
