For the past few months John and I have been going back and forth on remodeling our home. We've had contractors out and have designers out and architects draw up plans. We were ready to pull the trigger and then a house in our neigborhood went for sale. We are SO interested in this house - but, we are so torn because we love, love LOVE our street we live on. We have amazing neighbors and friends right here on our block. But, John and I have always said we want to have the house that our boys and their friends want to be at - the fun house - if you will - so we can keep tabs on them.:) We would love a pool and a bigger yard - and a bigger house - this house that went for sale has all of those things. If we bought this house we would increase our house payment and utilities - which is never a fun thought, but, if it's the house we would stay in forever maybe it would be worth it?? We are so torn right now. We are going to go look at it tonight and see if we have any feelings one way or the other. We're just not sure what to do...

I understand exactly how you are feeling. We moved from a house I loved and that had been in my family for long time. I had so many memories there! We moved to a much bigger house, one that we could make new memories in. Good luck in whatever you decide!
Those are tough decisions - don't you wish a big boulder would fall in the front yard with instructions on it?!!?!? Been there!!
This is a big decision for you.
Maybe listing out the pros and cons would help.
"A home is much more than a house. A house is built of lumber, brick, and stone. A home is made of love, sacrifice, and respect. A house can be a home, and a home can be a heaven when it shelters a family." Thomas S. Monson
You don't need the nicest home for people to want to spend time there, you just need the home that feels most like... home, if that makes any sense.
Whatchootalkinboutwillis!
I feel your pain! We are in the save boat with you....to sell or not to sell???? That seems to be the big topic in our home!
